I have to admit this is the second draft. I felt that my first attempt at this was based much more on my opinion rather then looking at some fact.
Like many people, I was a little shocked, not at the fact that Paula Deen had type 2 Diabetes, but that she was now a spokes person for a Diabetes drug (to which Deen has stated she will donate the profits to charity). I guess the buzz is two fold. One, a celebrity chef that has promoted “Good Home Southern Cooking” who now has diabetes and the other is collecting an income from a company that in essence benefits from her illness.
